An Iowa man has been arrested, accused of kidnapping an infant from his girlfriend's house.

Marcel Dugar, 39, was booked with home invasion and aggravated kidnapping of a child. His bond is set at $150,000 but he's currently on parole for an armed robbery conviction.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched yesterday to a home in Moss Bluff after an eight-month-old baby was kidnapped.

Witnesses say Duger broke into the home and kidnapped the baby of his girlfriend; he's not related to the child. Deputies found Duger and the baby in Lake Charles a short time after the kidnapping. .

Witnesses say Duger arrived at the home in Moss Bluff and was told he was not welcome there. The doors were locked, but Marcel allegedly told deputies he was hitting and kicking the door, and later located an unlocked window, which he used to make entry into the home.

The child was returned to the mother.

CPSO Detective Michelle Robinson is the lead investigator on this case.
