KATC's Chris Welty's was in Lake Charles where a group has set up to start serving food to those in need.
An assembly line of food was set up at the corner of West Mills Street and Lakeshore Drive at the Capitol One Tower. The meals are free of charge for those needing a hot meal.
Food will be available until they have no more need to do so.
