Eleven-year-old arrested in Moss Bluff homicide investigation

An 11-year-old has been arrested following an investigation into a Monday night fatal shooting in Moss Bluff.

Deputies says they were called around 5:00 pm to a residence on Erble Lane in reference to a shooting.

There, deputies say they located a victim, identified as 39-year-old Andrew Lafleur, III of Moss Bluff, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Following their investigation, deputies determined that an 11-year-old family member was allegedly responsible for the shooting.

He was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with 2nd degree murder.

An investigation is ongoing.
