Deputies search for truck involved in hit-and-run crash

LAKE CHARLES — Deputies in Calcasieu Parish are searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash in Lake Charles

The sheriff's office says it is investigating that crash which occurred on Monday, September 2 at approximately 12:20 a.m. An investigation revealed that a truck traveling southbound on Leah Drive in Lake Charles exited the roadway at the dead end and struck a fire hydrant and telephone box.

The suspect, believed to be a male, was driving a light colored Chevrolet Avalanche. The truck is missing a piece of the front grill and will have damage to the front end, according to deputies.
