CPSO searching for suspects in casino armed robbery

LAKE CHARLES — The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for suspects in an early morning armed robbery at a local casino.

On Friday, December 6, at around 2:00 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a casino on Highway 397 in Lake Charles in reference to the armed robbery.

CPSO says that three suspects entered the casino, one of which was armed with a handgun. Once inside two of the suspects allegedly physically assaulted the security guard and disarmed him.

Deputies say that while the two suspects continued to assault the security guard the third suspect robbed a cashier at gun point. They stole an undisclosed amount of cash along with the security guard’s firearm and fled the scene.

The security guard was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.

The suspect armed with the gun is described as approximately 6’3” in height wearing a gray hooded jacket with a pocket on the top left side with a black zipper, jeans, and light colored shoes. The second suspect is described as approximately 6’3” in height with a stocky build wearing all black clothing and a black mask. The third suspect is described as shorter in stature with all black clothing and a dark colored backpack. He is also described as having patchy facial hair and a short hairstyle.
