Calcasieu Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested a Westlake man on charges of rape and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.
According to CPSO, deputies received a complaint in reference to 26-year-old Brandon J. Savoy allegedly having inappropriate sexual contact with a child under the age of 13.
The victim told detectives the incident occurred at Savoy's residence. Savoy also allegedly provided the victim and two other juveniles under the age of 13, whom detectives say Savoy was babysitting at the time, with marijuana and allowed them to smoke.
Detectives say they attempted to make contact with Savoy numerous times but he told them he was out of town; he also allegedly failed to show up to a scheduled interview with detectives. On February 3, detectives executed a search warrant at Savoy's residence and located drug paraphernalia and marijuana in his bedroom.
Savoy, who was home at the time, was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. He is facing charges of first degree rape and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, along with drug charges. His bond has been set at $216,500.
