Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with local Entergy Louisiana employees, collected toys for needy families in Calcasieu Parish for Christmas.

According to CPSO, the two groups were able to provide gifts for over 40 families, which included over 100 children.

“I am proud of our deputies,” stated Sheriff Tony Mancuso. “It has been a tough year for everyone in our community this year, but no matter what, we always come together to help others in need. Our deputies collect toys every year, but we knew there would be more families in need this year. We were so pleased when Entergy reached out to us wanting to participate in the toy drive. With donations from their employees, we were able to help more families.”

The donations will be dispersed to families who have already been identified in the next two weeks.
