With power out for thousands, fuel is in high demand.
Standing by in Iowa is Macro Emergency Fuel Management from Broussard.
Jordan Broussard, Macro's transportation manager said, "This site here is running missions for the State. Police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, generators around town, hospitals, animal shelters, we're taking care of them."
Macro Companies says that it deployed several hundred personnel and fuel trucks to southwest Louisiana to help in recovery efforts.
Fuel has been distributed to local utility companies and to support the Louisiana Department of Agriculture's emergency fuel contract. The contract provides fuel to Search and Rescue, First Responders, State Agencies and critical infrastructure generators, the company says.
The company was staged following Hurricane Laura, but had to evacuate for Hurricane Delta. Now, they're back in action.
"We love serving and we love being here and providing for the State," Broussard said. "Louisiana takes care of Louisiana and we're grateful we can help."
