EUNICE — An arrest has been made in the shooting death of a Eunice man near Central Middle School.
Police arrested 19-year-old Demyron L Skinner in connection to the shooting. According to police De'Omaante "D Gotti" Frank was riding a bicycle Monday on E. Maple Ave. a vehicle pulled up beside him and, according to witnesses, 7-10 shots rang out from the vehicle
The victim was struck once in the side. He was transported to Acadian Medical Center in Eunice where he succumbed to his wounds.
Police say The shooting appears to be a retaliatory gang action. Players in the investigation have histories of prior shootings in Eunice.
Skinner is now facing second degree murder charges.
