No injuries reported when a bus encountered high water in Vermilion Parish. Viewers tell us the driver couldn’t see where the ditch was due to the flooded roadways. All the students from Kaplan Elementary had to be unloaded from the emergency exit door in the rear of the bus and taken home on another bus. They’re all safe!
One teacher tells us that all the teachers at the school immediately took off their shoes and helped make sure the children were all safe and taken care of.
