Current and former members of the Vermilion Parish School Board, along with Superintendent Jerome Puyau have been subpoenaed as witnesses in an investigation against the school board.
A grand jury is being convened to investigate the board. Several sources confirm to KATC that they have been subpoenaed as witnesses in that investigation.
They also say they suspect the investigation has to do with board members not showing up and denying the board a quorum, forcing meetings to be canceled.
The DA confirmed that there is an investigation but did not detail as to what that investigation pertained to.
