A STOP sign in Abbeville is getting some attention on social media.
The sign across the street from the Bank of Abbeville had a few extra words added to it. The sign read “Baw STOP Dat.”
Chuck Landry spotted the sign and took a photo of it. Since it was posted Monday, the sign has received nearly 600 shares on social media.
As of Tuesday at 10:00 am, KATC learned the sign had been removed by the city and replaced with a new one.
The comments on the post are lighthearted saying, “Gotta be Abbeville,” and “Only in South Louisiana! Hope they keep it!”
