The Vermilion Parish School Board is meeting this evening to move forward with their investigation into Superintendent Jerome Puyau.
The board will discuss and vote on the parameters of the investigation into the superintendent.
Yesterday, Puyau’sattorney sent a letter to each of the eight school board members, cautioning potential legal action against the board.
Last week, the hearing officer ruled that the board’s decision to put Puyau on leave was “arbitrary and capricious” and that Puyau should be reinstated immediately.
The board will consider an amended version of a resolution that failed to get approval during Monday’s special meeting.
The resolution would relieve Puyau of his duties until further notice. It would also ban the superintendent from school board property except when he’s attending events his daughter participates in.
This is a developing story.
