The Mayor of Maurice and police chief will have to wait another month before the council votes on their proposed pay raises.
Officials tell KATC that council members tabled the discussion because one councilman was not present at the meeting Wednesday evening. Council members say they want that councilman’s input before voting.
The vote for pay raises will happen at a council meeting in September.
