Film directed by Breaux Bridge native to premiere at Tribeca Film Festival

A film directed by a native of Breaux Bridge will premiere at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

Brian C. Miller Richard’s Lost Bayou will be competing in the feature narrative story.

Lost Bayou is written by Nick Lavin and Hunter Burke.

According to the film’s IMDb page, in the movie, “A struggling addict returns home to the Louisiana bayou to reconnect with her father, only to discover he’s hiding a troubling secret aboard his houseboat.”

Another film with Louisiana ties is also heading for the festival, which is in its 18th year. New Orleans native Wendell Pierce co-produced Burning Cane.

The festival runs April 24-May 5.
