The Town of Berwick is currently under a flood watch and several gates along the Atchafalaya River will close.
Several flood gates bordering the river are now closed because of rising waters. Gus Street, First Street, Lima Street, and Pacific Street gates have been closed.
Utah Street and Canton Street gates will be closed off on Friday, March 8, 2019.
