A funnel cloud was spotted in St. Mary Parish this evening.
According to one of our viewers, the picture was taken along Hwy. 90 in the Baldwin area around 6:45 p.m.
Chief Meteorologist Rob Perillo says funnel clouds occur quite frequently and are usually harmless in a tropical atmosphere. Funnel clouds rarely reach the ground, he says.
