The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery at a business in Bayou Vista.
37-year-old Anthony Jones of Patterson was arrested Friday at 9:00 pm for that robbery.
Deputies with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office report that the incident occurred at the Express Cash Advance in Bayou Vista at around 6:00 p.m.
Through the investigation, officers say Jones was identified as the suspect and contact was made with him. Deputies say additional evidence was found linking Jones to that robbery.
He has been transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.
