Man arrested in April homicide in Cade

A suspect in an April home invasion and homicide has been arrested according to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office.

27-year-old Dequincy Jamel Lewis was arrested Thursday morning following an ongoing investigation into the April home invasion and homicide in Cade

The victim, 23-year-old Justin Primeaux was shot and killed during the home invasion on Vieux Jacquet Road on April 20, 2019.

Dequincy Jamel Lewis was initially booked into the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center and shortly after, was transported to the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center where he was booked in on the charge of First Degree Murder.

No bond has been set.
