UPDATE: All lanes of I-10 East are now open at LA 328 (Breaux Bridge) after an accident closed the highway for a while.
Congestion reached about five miles in length, and motorists were advised to use an alternate route.
Vehicle recovery is now complete and the lanes are open, DOTD says.
