The St. Martin Parish School Board has appointed Allen Blanchard, Jr. as Superintendent of Schools.
The appointment happened at Wednesday’s meeting.
Board President Russel Foti says that Blanchard will be superintendent once a contract has been written up. That will take place within the next few weeks.
Blanchard was selected as interim superintendent following former Superintendent Lottie Beebe’s termination last year.
