A St. Landry parish substitute teacher was rearrested on sex charges in St. Martin Parish Jail.
Tara Richard, 37, was extradited to St. Martin Tuesday by deputies after she was released from the St. Landry Parish Jail. Richard was arrested in January following an investigation into a claim that she had inappropriate sexual relations with two male students.
At the time of the alleged crime in St. Landry Parish, the two students, ages were 15 and 16, attended a local high school where Richard worked as a substitute teacher. The incidents, according to law enforcement, did not occur on school property.
Yesterday, Richard was arrested for sexual relations with the same teens, but in St. Martin Parish.
Now, Richard faces two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Shortly after being booked she was released on a $15,000 bond.
