A Cecilia man is in jail for allegedly burglarizing multiple vehicles Friday morning.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s deputies say the burglaries happened between midnight and 3:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of Alcide Bonin Road in Cecilia.
According to a spokeswoman with the sheriff’s office, 49-year-old Mark Journet stole a New Orleans Saints jacket and New Orleans Saints sunglasses.
Deputies say video surveillance obtained in the investigation showed Journet riding a bicycle while wearing the jacket and sunglasses.
Deputies obtained a warrant for Journet’s arrest. The spokeswoman says Journet was located at his home with the stolen items and bicycle.
Journet was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center with four counts of simple burglary of a moveable and one count of attempted burglary.
No bond had been set of 7:30 p.m. Friday.
