UPDATE: Three people are in custody in connection with a man found dead near a levee in Henderson Saturday.

Deputies identified the local man as 38-year-old Brocky McGee.

Howard Gautreaux, 22, of Breaux Bridge, was arrested for second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies.

Decota McGee, 18, of Henderson, and Morgan Landry, of Breaux Bridge, were both arrested for accessory after the fact of second-degree murder.

According to a spokeswoman with the sheriff’s office, Decota McGee and the victim are cousins.

Deputies responded to a “suspicious call” about a man laying by the levee shortly before 1 a.m., the spokeswoman says.

When deputies arrived at the levee near the intersection of Potato Shed Road and North Henderson Levee Road, they discovered a body, who they later identified as Brocky.

Upon further investigation, deputies determined Brocky had been shot.

The investigation is ongoing.
