There are new guidelines for Breaux Bridge developers.
The traditional neighborhood development district ordinance was approved by the city council, requiring developers to meet conditions mostly related to access and sustainability.
It also applies to the revitalization of existing neighborhoods.
“This way you can have just a mixture of types of families, sizes of families, demographics might vary and so forth and over time we think that’s a better way of developing a community,” said Breaux Bridge Mayor Ricky Calais.
