A federal trial date has been set for the man who set fire to three historically black St. Landry Parish churches last spring, The Advocate reports.
Holden Matthews’s trial is scheduled for Feb. 10, 2020
Matthews, 21, was indicted by a federal grand jury earlier this month on six counts: three counts of intentional damage to a religious facility and three counts using fire to commit a felony. The Advocate published photos and online messages presented in the case.
He is also facing an indictment in St. Landry Parish.
