A grand jury in St. Landry Parish has indicted an Opelousas man on charges of second-degree murder on Tuesday.
43-year-old Darrel D. Davis was formally charged on Tuesday in connection with the fatal shooting death of 34-year-old Jimmy Jones on October 28, 2018. Jones, a Texas native, was shot near St. Landry Catholic Church.
Following the shooting, Davis was arrested and booked on charges of second-degree murder.
