State Police have released the name of the person killed Wednesday night on LA 182 in Sunset.
Troopers say 51-year-old David Sonnier of Arnaudville was killed after a fatal pedestrian crash on LA 182 near Thelma Drive in St. Landry Parish.
According to troopers, Sonnier was walking on or near the roadway of LA 182 when he was struck by two vehicles that were traveling eastbound. Both vehicles continued on after striking Sonnier.
Sonnier died as a result of the injuries he sustained. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Landry Parish Coroner’s Office.
Troopers say impairment is unknown at this time. Toxicology tests are pending.
