An Acadiana quilt group is using their hobby to help homeless veterans.
The Krotz Springs Quilt Guild stopped by Saint Michael Center for Veterans to hand out Quilts of Valor.
They say they want to support those people who put their lives on the line for them.
“Quilts of Valor is our way of saying thank you to the veterans and service members who have served our country,” Debra Menard, Krotz Springs Quilt Guild. “Just a way to say we appreciate their service, we appreciate what they’ve done in the past and what they gave up for our freedom.”
