Knights of Columbus discuss future of Live Oak trees in Church Point

The Knight of Columbus of Church Point met to discuss future beautification improvements for the town.

Tuesday that Knights of Columbus Council 2504 met at Our Lad of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. On the agenda, discussing the preservation of the historic Live Oaks in the surrounding area.

The meeting today was to inform the public of what will happen moving forward to improve the town and what can be done to make sure the trees live much longer lives.

“We need to inform as much as we can how truly magnificent our live oaks are and that we should take better care of them the live oak here can live two thousand years and I would want my grandchildren and great-grandchildren to enjoy these trees and know their history,” Bob Thibodeaux of Bob’s Tree Preservation said.
