The Opelousas City Police Department says a pedestrian was struck and killed in a fatal crash Monday night in the 5000 Block of I-49 North Service Road in the city.
Police say that 49-year-old James Robertson of Opelousas was struck and killed while walking in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred around 8:00 pm on Monday.
The driver of the vehicle has not been charged at this time.
