Opelousas Tourism will kick off their 2018 Fall Music and Market Series with a performance by Deuce Chamber & Zydeco Integrity on Friday, September 28.
The music series will continue until October 26 with performances from bands like Jamie Bergeron and the Kickin’ Cajuns, T. Broussard & the Zydeco Steppers, Sweet Cecilia, and Wallace Trahan & Rice and Gravy.
Each Friday during the series the market will feature a specific staple crop. The first crop in the series this year is okra.
The series will be held from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Farmers Market Pavillion at Vieux Village with a downtown edition on October 19 in Courthouse Square.
