LAFAYETTE PARISH- Authorities are investigating a shooting involving a St. Landry Parish deputy.
According to officials, the deputy was off-duty when an unknown suspect shot him near I-49 in Lafayette Parish on Saturday.
The deputy was transported to a hospital where he is recovering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
A suspect has been identified and law enforcement is searching for him at this time.
