The Bayou Vermilion Preservation Association held their annual State of the River Meeting.
The meeting which began at 5:00 pm was free and open to the public and focused on topics including initiatives that are happening with the Vermilion River and its watershed.

- Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries’ update on fish and fishing our waterways
- Teche-Vermilion Long-term Water Quality Sampling Program
- Bayou Vermilion District’s Home Sewer Inspection Program and new river park
