On Wednesday, May 22, The Scott Fire Department will invite city officials to train with its members at the Lafayette Fire Department Fire Training Center.
The Scott Mayor, Scott City Council, Scott Fire Board, and Lafayette City-Parish Council members have been invited to attend.
Officials will don bunker gear and take part in the rescue maze and flashover container training.
A discussion and dinner will follow the training.
Scott Fire Chief Chad Sonnier says that the purpose of the event is to educate elected officials on what firefighters do during their daily operations.
The training will be held at 6:30 pm.
