Two Acadiana High School students were arrested after a fight on a school bus this morning: one had a knife, officials say.
LPSS officials say nobody was hurt.
In addition to criminal charges, the child also faces LPSS discipline, officials say.
Lafayette Police say they were called to a bus that was stopped in the 400 block of Monarch at about 6:20 a.m. There was a fight on the bus between two 16-year-olds, a boy and a girl. They were both placed under arrest. The female child was cited for aggravated assault and illegal carrying of a weapon. The male child was cited for simple battery.
