Veterans graduating this year from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will receive their veteran cords tonight.

The students will receive those cords at a graduation dinner and ceremony on Wednesday. The ceremony is being held for veterans graduating this spring and summer sessions.

The University says the cording ceremony is a small token of appreciation for veterans service to the nation and to the University.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette enrolls both active duty and veteran students.

Guest Speakers will include Dr. E. Joseph Savoie and Jeremy Myers, President of Ragin’ Cajun Veterans Alumni Chapter.

The ceremony begins at 6:30 pm at the UL Student Union.
