Lafayette police are looking for two people in connection with a shooting last night on Louisiana Avenue.
The shooting happened during a domestic disturbance in an apartment in the 1500 block, a spokeswoman said. Warrants have been issued for two people. The names haven’t been released yet.
The victim is listed in stable condition today, the spokeswoman said.
Some media outlets have reported a connection between the incident and the murder last month in Grand Coteau. But a spokeswoman for Grand Coteau Police this morning said that wasn’t true. She said the forensics reports in that case weren’t even complete yet. The Lafayette Police spokeswoman said no connection had been made to that other case in the LPD investigation, either.
