The suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death on Louisiana Avenue has been arrested.
Police say that 20-year-old Taveon Malik Leary of Lafayette turned himself in to the Lafayette Police Department on Wednesday. He has been transported to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center where he was booked on an active warrant for Second Degree Murder.
22-year-old Kenderick Flugence Jr. died in that shooting which occurred in the 2800 block of Louisiana Ave. on March 24, 2019.
That shooting happened at the Mon Chateau apartment complex on Louisiana Avenue.
