Decorated bras and jazz music mingled Thursday night in a night of fellowship and awareness.
At the Vermilionville Performance Center, breast cancer survivors modeled bras created by local artists, friends, family, celebrities, and even themselves. The “Save ze Ta Ta’z” event was a chance for a celebration of breast cancer survivors in Acadiana.
A live auction of those modeled bras will raise funds benefiting the local service and advocacy projects of the Zonta Club of Lafayette. A portion of the proceeds will go to breast cancer research.
Senator Fred Mills served as the celebrity auctioneer for the event.
