The Carencro Fire Department says they along with Lafayette and Scott Fire Departments responded to a fire behind the old Evangeline Downs racetrack.
Officials say the fire happened at around 7:46 p.m. at a barn behind the old Evangeline Downs racetrack.
The barns are abandoned and no animals were inside. The fire was contained to a small portion of the building.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
