Nearly 100 business women spent their Thursday morning sharing their expertise on how they’re shaping Acadiana.
Acadiana’s Women’s Network held their first session today. Keynote speaker Sarah Berthelot, President and CEO of Louisiana Association of United Ways, shared her experiences of becoming a leader.
Berthelot said, “Its the fact that its women, we can make a difference in our workplace. We make a difference in our families. And we can make a difference in our communities.”
She says the main purpose of the event is for women to better understand their value.
Our own KATC Marcelle Fontenot attended the event. Fontenot will be the keynote speaker in a September session.
