The Lafayette Parish Coroner’s Office has released the name of the teenager killed in a shooting Wednesday at Grand Pointe apartments.
18-year-old Christian Roper was identified as the victim in the shooting. The coroner’s office says Roper sustained several gunshot wounds.
Roper was killed Wednesday in a shooting at Grand Pointe Apartments off of Kaliste Saloom Road in Lafayette. He was located in the parking lot by police suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Roper was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson with the department says that at this time there are no suspects in custody. As of Thursday afternoon, that has not changed.
An investigation is ongoing.
