A Duson couple reached a milestone Wednesday, being recognized as the longest married couple in Louisiana.
Now on their 80th anniversary, Wallace and Gladys Menard celebrated Wednesday with a gathering of family at their home. At 97 and 99 years old the two share love for everyone in their lives and each other.
A certificate from the State of Louisiana gave special recognition to the Menards for being Louisiana’s Longest Married Couple. The document signed by Governor John Bel Edwards and presented to them during the celebration.
