LAFAYETTE – Students at Woodvale Elementary showed off their coding skills with a presentation to parents and faculty.

In the school’s library on Tuesday,  students presented a final project showing off their use of code in block-based programming, robotics, and engineering design.

The students were able to see their use of code come to life through a robot named Dash.

“One of the other things we are always trying to do is get them comfortable wit ha challenge. So when they are so excited about coding, robotics, and STEM they start to really enjoy all of the challenges it presents. So they don’t back down from challenges,  they learn to embrace challenges and work through them,” says program organizer Jorey Krupa.
