LA DOTD is reporting a ruptured gas line near Ridge Road and Crip Lane.
Ridge Rd. west of Crip to the intersection of Fieldspan will be closed until 10 or 11 tonight, according to Bill Oliver, DOTD.
A DOTD crew was doing routine ditch cleaning and the crew hit the line. Oliver said the gas line wasn’t marked.
Before the crew began digging the gas company was called to mark the line.
There are no evacuations at this time.

The rupture is near the construction of the new roundabout, according to The Lafayette Fire Department.
