The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for their 2019 Sheriff’s Association scholarship.

The scholarship, totaling $500, will be awarded to one graduating high school student from Lafayette Parish who meets all criteria of the program.

The Program goal is to provide assistance to Louisiana students in furthering their education and training with resources. There are no restrictions on how the scholarship, once awarded, should be spent as long as it is used at an institution of higher learning within the State of Louisiana. The scholarship is designed as a gift to help meet some of the costs associated with higher education.

To apply, applicants must be a permanent resident of Louisiana and the Parish of Lafayette and plan to enroll as a full-time undergraduate at a Louisiana institution of higher learning.

Applications must be received on or before April 1st to qualify. A winner will be announced on May 1st.
