Broussard Police: Two wanted in attempted murder investigation

Two suspects are wanted by the Broussard Police Department in connection with an investigation into attempted murder and robbery in Broussard.

Investigators say that two suspects, Joseph Jackson, 21, and Jaylon Harrison, 19, both of Broussard are wanted in connection with the attempted murder and robbery of two individuals in the area of Alley 2 in Broussard on December 5.

A 19-year-old victim was shot as a result of the robbery. Police initially said that the shooting occurred during the sale of a cell phone. Police say an investigation revealed that the incident was involving drugs.

Jackson and Harrison are both wanted on 2 counts of attempted armed robbery, 1 count of attempted first-degree murder.

The two are also wanted for other violent crimes, according to police. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call local police or Crime Stoppers.
