The University of Louisiana at Lafayette has placed 8th overall in the 2019 College Cheerleading National Championship.
The Ragin Cajun cheerleaders clinched the 8th spot in their first time making it to the finals of the 1A Division.
Coach for the team is Courtney Begnaud.
LSU ranked at number 11 overall. The night’s big winner was The University of Kentucky who claimed another national title.
The competition was in Orlando at Walt Disney World. The cheerleading and dance competition concluded on Sunday.
UL’s Ragin Jazz also participated, ranking 8th overall in the Game Day Dance division for the UDA National Dance Team Competition.
