Students from Middlebrook Elementary raced Sphero robots in chariots that they designed in a STEM afterschool program.
The students used code to program the robots around a track for one race and a drive control for a second race. They put those robots to the test Wednesday for a race.
Middlebrook Elementary says that students used the engineering design process to develop the chariots. They were taught to create code using a visual programming language so they could then test how well the chariots rolled and moved around obstacles.
